Significant relationships were found between the sap flux density and tree size in spruce growing in Drahanka Vrchovina uplands of southern Moravia. Relative transpiration reached in average about 1/3 of potential evapotranspiration and was very variablebetween individual trees. Canopy water storage capacity reached in average 3.3 mm and was dependent on social positions of trees.
