The small terrestrial mammals (Rodentia, Insectivora) of larger forest complexes in the intensively managed landscape.
Original language description
The monitoring on small terrestrial mammal communities (STMC) of larger isolated forest complexes in the intensively managed landscape of southern Moravia (Czech Republic) started in 2002. Three experimental plots with different level of management weresituated between the cities Židlochovice and Lednice na Moravě. Snap traps, baited with piece of fried wick were used and altogether 375 individuals of six species of small mammals were collected. Apodemus flavicollis (71 %), Apodemus sylvaticus (16.1 %)and Clethrionomys glareolus (10.1 %) were eudominant, Microtus arvalis (2.2 %) subdominant and Sorex araneus (0.3 %) and Crocidura leucodon (0.3 %) were subrecedent species. The STMC was also characterized by the Shannon index of species diversity (H´=0.88), by evenness (E = 0.49) and by relative abundance (A.f. - 34 %, A.s. -- 7.7 %, C.g. -- 4.8 %, M.a. -- 1.0 %, Cr.l. -- 0.13 %, S.a. -- 0.13 %). In the comparison of all three localities, the highest diversity was detected in the loca
