Epicuticular waxes on leaf and needle surface can charakterize the degree of assimilatory apparatus damage. The condition of the epicuticular waxes in Norway spruce was studied in the stands in three localities in the Jizerské hory Mts. (U zemníku, Tetřeví boudy, Lasičí). The localities differed in the level of assimilatory apparatus damage. The lowest degradation of the structure of epicuticular waxes was observed in the stands of Norway spruce in the locality Lasičí. The damage is in the latent form.Needles from this localityhave relatively a large wax surface. Higher destruction of epicuticular waxes is in the samples from the locality Tetřeví boudy with lower amount of epicuticular waxes on needle surface.

Czech description

Epikutikulární vosky na povrchu listů a jehlic charakterizují stupeň poškození asimilačního aparátu. Stav epikutikulárních vosků u smrku ztepilého byl sledován na třech lokalitách v Jizerských horách (U zemníku, Tetřeví boudy, Lasičí). Lokality jsou ve stupni poškození asimilačního aparátu rozdílné. Nejnižší degradace struktury epikutikulárních vosků ve smrkových porostech byla zjištěna na lokalitě Lasičí. Poškození v latentní formě. Vyšší poškození epikutikulárních vosků je zaznamenáno na lokalitě Tetřeví boudy.
