Bio-available nitrogen forms in soils of differently managed mountain meadows and forests: a preliminary results from season 2005
Original language description
This work is aimed to evaluation of bio-available N forms in four ecosystems of different management when except classical ammonium and nitrate nitrogen forms were taken into account bio-available amino acids. The study was performed on moderately mown meadow and 12 years un-mown part of the same meadow, and in two young spruce stands of different density. The concentrations of ammonium, nitrate and amino acid N were measured in June 2005 in O and Ah layers of meadow stands, and in F and H layers of spruce stands. The results obtained in this work showed that the highest relative proportion of amino acid N was found in open young spruce stand (F and H layer) and in Ah layer of moderately mown meadow. These results are un-expectable and will be more precisely evaluated when data from whole season will be processed.
