Modification of European Union standards of urban recreational forests according to delimitation of capital Prague recreational forests

Admitted European Union standards of urban recreational forests define among others total area needed for recreation and total area of recreational forests needed for recreation regarding to extension of seat (number of the population). All indicators presented in EU standards of urban recreational forests are developed for two zones of recreation: 1st zone -- core zone (half day recreational zone) and 2nd zone -- buffer zone (full day recreational zone). EU standards of urban recreational forests are formulated for seat with number of population 5,000 -- 100,000. For solution of the Ministry of Environment project Problems of care about forests surrounding the capital of Prague regarding their functional usage it appears to be necessary to operate with recreational standard for the city larger than 1,000,000 settlements (number of the population). V příspěvku je prezentován metodický přístup k modifikaci plošných standartů EU pro vymezování příměstských lesů. Modifikace standartů je provedena pro rekreační lesy hlavního města Prahy na základě ekosystémové metody hodnocení funkcí lesů (Vyskot I. akol 2003).
