Clusters - A challenge for woodworking companies

Original language description

The possibility of obtaining financial support from the national resources and namely from the EU structural funds should be utilized by the companies. An exceptional opportunity to increase competitiveness of woodworking companies and firms of related industries in the Czech Republic consists in the foundation of a wood cluster. The below described advantages of established cluster may be a motivation tool for companies that fear a loss of independence and leakage of strategic corporate data in the formation of such a cluster. Activities focused on its establishment may be co-funded from the Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise. In the following years, member companies in the cluster can apply for subsidy from the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations, which is focused on the promotion of enterprises with a higher innovation potential.

Czech description

Šance získání finanční podpory z národních zdrojů a zejména ze strukturálních fondů EU by měla být podniky využívána. Mimořádnou možností jak v České republice zvýšit konkurenceschopnost dřevařských podniků, ale i podniků souvisejících odvětví, je založení dřevařského klastru. Popsané výhody zakládaného klastru mohou být motivačním nástrojem pro podniky, obávající se ztráty autonomity a úniku strategických podnikových informací při formování klastru. Aktivity směřující k jeho založení mohou být spolufinancovány z Operačního programu průmysl a podnikání. V následujících letech mohou podniky v klastru žádat o podporu z Operačního programu podnikání a inovace, který je zaměřen na pomoc podnikům s vyšším inovačním potenciálem.
