The phenological phases in Norway spruce and European beech in the mixed forests and monocultures in the Drahanská vrchovina Upland (625 m a.s.l.) were studied. The phenological phases in the young spruce monocultures, mixed forests (Norway spruce 60 %,European beech 30 %, European larch 10 %) and European beech monocultures were observed. Thermal parameters were studied inside the growth. Another climatic data were measured on the open space near to the forests. Phenological phases are distinctly periodic at tree species, but their onset and duration depend considerably on the course of a whole complex of environmental conditions, above all on the weather, which was confirmed by long-term observation of forest tree phenology in this area (Bednářová,Kučera 2002). Fenologické fáze u smrku a buku byly sledovány na výzkumné ploše na Drahanské vrchovině (625 m n. m.). Fenologické fáze dřevin jsou do značné míry výrazně periodické, ale nástup a průběh závisí na komplexu vnějších a vnitřních podmínek. Výsledky ukázali,že začátek nástupu jednotlivých fenologických fází závisí především na překročení určitých teplotních hranic (efektivních teplot vzduchu).
