Four sites were selected in the Forest District Jesenik in the central section of the Jeseniky Mts. Mainly are characterized as Abieto-Fagetum trophicum. All stands were established as Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.) Franco) monocultures and soil type was defined as modal Cambisol. The soil reaction, carbon and nitrogen content were evaluated in this study as well as C/N ration. The C/N ration was found favourable on most sites. Optimal nitrogen values were not reached on any of selected plots.
