This paper evaluates the influence of selected climate factors on the seasonal dynamics of the radial increment of trees with different social position in young spruce stands. The sampling plot called Rájec is located in the Drahanská Highlands on primarily mixed stands. The social position of trees within the stand influenced significantly the size and the process of the radial growth and increment. The growth curve had the typical shape of the elongated letter S. Despite the small differentiation of the absolute height, the radial increment of trees of individual tree class differed greatly.
