Application of the Semi-Distributed Basin Model to a Small Catchmant in Relation to Forest Hydric-Water-Management Function
Original language description
This study uses a GIS and Curve number method to investigate how landscape forms and forest types control the generation of runoff, and to study the relationship between the outputs of the Curve Number method and forest hydricwater- management functions. For the purposes of this study, we created a model in the GIS environment. This model is built on the principles of the Curve Number method and the Clark Unit Hydrograph. The connection between the outputs of the Curve Number method and the real effectsof forest hydric-water-management function is not particularly clear. However, some dependence between them can be noted, because stands with smaller real effects of forest hydric-watermanagement functions also have a higher Curve Number value.
