Powdery mildew on woody plants in Czech Republic
Original language description
There were identified 30 different species of powdery mildew on woody plants in the Czech Republic. From this number of identified Erysiphales is Phyllactinia roboris reported as a missing species actually. Eleven species of reported powdery mildews canbe termed alien for the Czech Republic, including oak powdery mildew Erysiphe alphitoides (syn. Microsphaera alphitoides Griff.) which is naturalized species throughout Europe now. Newly recorded species are Erysiphe arguata, E. azaleae, E. elevata, E. flexuosa, Erysiphe palczewskii, Erysiphe syringae, Erysiphe vanbruntiana var. sambuci-racemosae. Erysiphe euonymi-japonici was reported from herbarium specimen in 1941 only.
