Wood element reinforced by carbon fibers

  • Original language description

The aim of his paper is to explore carbon fiber utilization in a wooden specimen for a bending test.Standardized specimens for bending tests were manufactured. Carbon fibers were glued in the specimens in various ways. MOE and MOR of composite elements were measured. Various resins were used and qualified. The identical composite element was modeled by FEM in the ANSYS application. By FE model the efficiency of stiffness increase of composite element was evaluated.
