Original language description
In August 2004 and 2006, male adults of Somatochlora alpestris were recorded at two places at the massif of Pip Ivan Maramoroskij Mt. in the Zakarpatska oblast, Ukraine -- in the vicinity of Berlebashka Mt. and near Obnizh Mt.. The occurrence of permanent populations is discussed. During 2005 -- 2006, a detailed research of water habitats in the catchment of the Chrepeliv River and in a part of the catchment of the Bistricja Nadvirnjanska River in the region of Nadvirna town in the Ivano-frankivska oblast, Ukraine, was carried out. Cordulegaster bidentata was found at 4 localities. The occurrence in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mts. is discussed. All hitherto published records of Somatochlora alpestris and Cordulegaster bidentata from the territory of theUkraine are summarised.
