Simulations of forest succession and utilization of growth simulators are effective tools for prediction of forest stand succession not only in the regime of natural regeneration but also in the regime of applying targeted management measures. They allowexpecting the impact of any type of management measure in a long term time horizon and therefore they give the base for choosing the optimal alternative for reaching the target state based on comparison.
