Amino acids in soil - a new attitude to study plant N nutrition
Original language description
A role of amino acids in direct nutrition of plants is described in this work. It was documented that amino acids applied into soil can be directly uptaken by plant roots. Of applied amino acids, e.g. 3.8-53.6 % was proved to be taken up in intact form by selected plant species. An possibility of amino acid breakdown into HCO3 - and NH4+ and uptake of these forms represents methodological problem to evaluate direct amino acid nutrition. New procedure is necessary to be developed.
