Results of research into high-speed milling
Original language description
The paper informs on the present condition of research into high-speed milling at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University of Agriculture in Brno. The arrangement is described of a trial stand, the condition of processing the methodology of measuring passive and aerodynamic resistances, basic parameters and repeatability of measurements at open milling. A new approach is also described to evaluate the quality of the machined surface of wood by means of modern computer methods. Thepaper is aimed at the procedure of contactless sensing the surface of wood by a topographic method using a confocal sensor (Chromatic Length Aberration -- CLA) on a top apparatus Talysurf CLI 1000. Research results are documented by selected diagrams anda discussion is presented referring to particular methods.
