Výsledky faunistického průzkumu vážek (Insecta: Odonata) na Místecku

  • Original language description

From 1992 to 2006 I carried out a faunistic research of dragonflies in 25 localities in the region of Místek town in the northern Moravia (See Fig. 1). I found 38 species of dragonflies (i.e. 53% from species richness in the Czech Republic). There were found several scarce species -- Anax parthenope, as a migrants Crocothemis erythraea (Brullé, 1832), Orthetrum brunneum (Fonscolombe, 1837) and Anax ephippiger (Burmeister, 1839). Valuable habitats in the region are - forest spring ares in Palkovické hůrky hills with stable population of Cordulegaster bidentata Sélys, 1843, sand-gravel shoals in river basin of Ostravice river with occurrence of Onychogomphus forcipatus (Linnaeus, 1758). In the region was found common occurrence of Orthetrum albistylum (Sélys, 1848). The most common species (according to dominancy) were - Coenagrion puella, Sympetrum vulgatum and Lestes sponsa.
