Vliv trofnosti stanoviště na vývin kořenového systému douglasky tisolisté (Pseudotsuga Menziesii /Mirb./ Franco)

  • Original language description

The paper analyses the root system architecture of 12-year Douglas fir stands growing on acid and mesotrophic sites. Effects of the site trophic conditions on the root system development were not detected. Both on the acid and fertile site, Douglas fir creates heart-shaped anchoring type of the root system showing the same size of the root system in proportion to the length of above-ground parts of a tree, the same length of horizontal roots and the same depth of root penetration by horizontal and anchoring roots. Detected differences in the proportion of horizontal roots in the whole root system structure can be caused by atmospheric precipitation, visually not-perceivable properties of soil horizons or by the method of the stand establishment.
