Long-term water use efficiency (WUE)was evaluated for young Norway spruce stands with different densities (FD- ca 2500 tree/ha, FS- ca 2000 tree/ha) from 1998 to 2003. However plots differ in stand density, WUE values of FS and FD were similar (on average: 4.30 g/l in FS and 4.64 g/l in FD).
