  • Original language description

For biotope classification we utilised geobiocoenological approach, based on the comparison of the natural (potential) and current state of geobiocoenoses in the landscape. Classification of biotopes is based on differences in physiognomy, structure andspecies composition of the vegetation component of present biocoenoses. Groups of biotope types differ above all by differences in the physiognomy and structure of vegetation. Biotope types are divided according to differences in the species compositionof dominant species. In this manner 13 groups of biotopes and 39 biotope types were distinguished and described. Geobiocoenological approach to biotope classification enable utilisation of the results in the planning of agroforestry management, includingcreation of new forest or woodland biotopes by planting valuable tree species.
