Thermal conductivity of insulation fiberboards: steady-state measurement
Original language description
Thermal properties of commercially available insulation fiberboards were measured using heat flow meter (HFM 365 lambda). The influence of temperature and moisture content on thermal conductivity was evaluated. The accurate density was established at theX-ray densitometer to reach the density dependence of thermal properties. Adsorption and desorption isotherm were obtained through the weight changes measurement during continual air- conditioning. The results show that increasing moisture content has apositive effect on the thermal conductivity. The curve depicting values of thermal conductivity, related to moisture content and density of samples, has ascending character with increasing temperature. Experimental data were compared with the declared value of thermal conductivity presented by the company.
