    The vegetation canopy is made up of the trees crowns, which are an essential part of life on Earth. The canopy architecture is described by the vertical and horizontal arrangement of foliage in the crowns. The amount of solar radiation (more precisely photosynthetic active radiation of wavelength range 400-700 nm), which is forest able to capture and use for production is determined by canopy architecture and leaf area index. Solar radiation is the main source of energy for production processes of forest. The research is a detailed description of changes in leaf area index (LAI) during the growing season. Dynamic of leaf area development was monitored by indirect methods and simultaneously destructive method compared with the current increment the shoots and needles for the period
