Measurements of soil moisture in northern Mongolia as a basis for environmental analysis of environment
Original language description
This article provides information about moisture conditions on localities Goricho, Barun Bayan and Bayan Dzun in northern Mongolia Mongolia collected during an expedition in 2015 organized by the Mendel University in Brno. Initial interpretation of the results of measurements with Z-Meter III show a paradoxical distribution of moisture between locations. Goricho location that is subject to strong aridizaci, caused mainly by human activities, has the highest values of soil moisture. Little anthropogenicaffected locality Barun Bayan contrary, showed the worst results humidity. It is highly likely that moisture conditions on Gorichu are primarily influenced by a large number of dead trees, which through its root system moistening the surrounding soil. Toincrease soil moisture was most likely after a dry period, which was combined with the effect of air pollution fallout which resulted in massive death larch forest. Very unsatisfactory state Barun Bayan sites may be due to a high content
