The aim of this study was based on simple granulometric characteristics determine gravel-bed streams Svatava stream because the literature stated appointed only source sand. Furthermore, to demonstrate the influence of bridge construction on the size distribution of the sediment. On the stream Svatava were selected two sites located near the bridge construction there is in fact a greater extent alluvial sediment settles. One at the confluence Svatava and Ohře and the second in the middle of the flow. The sediment was removed before the objects in a flow path stream with bridge construction and for the last bridge on the level of Q1 unaffected deposits. In the laboratory on the basis of particle size analysis was drawn grading curve representing the ratio distribution across the various factions (Cb - rock, G - gravel, S - sand, C - clay).
