On historical pasture, which is dated about 500 years ago, was in year 2012 (June) exactly 654 active nests of Formica foreli species. Averagedensity of pile was 10,5 per hectare and their height was around 1 to 35 cm (arithmetic mean 11,7 cm +- 4,66 cm, median 12 cm) and width from 6 to 77 cm (arithmetic mean 23,2 +- 10,59 cm, median 35 cm). Dyadic experiments (confrontation of pair of femaleworkers Formica foreli in false arena) supported hypothesis that this is a supercolony. Collection by ground traps results and more observation of competitive relationships promoted a hypothesis, which thanks to the polycalic nest charac
