Redescription and epitypification of Clavaria atrofusca Velen
Original language description
Clavaria atrofusca was described by Velenovský in 1939 based on a single small collection from the Czech Republic. The species is rather rare and until 2009 it had further only been recorded from Switzerland. Since 2009 it has also been collected in Norway, Sweden and in 2014 in the Czech Republic. Because the type locality at Mnichovice has been destroyed and the type collection is fragmentary, we propose an epitype of Clavaria atrofusca Velen. based on the recent collection from the Czech Republic, along with the notes on its ecology and distribution.
