Geodiversity is understood as a set of geological, geomorphological, pedological and hydrological components, including systems consisting of these components and geological, geomorphological and pedological processes. It bears various values which are analysed within the ecosystem services context (scientific, cultural, economic, functional values etc.). These values together with geotourism and geoeducation principles and definitions are used as a basis for a methodical approach to geosite and geomorphosite assessment for geotourism and geoeducational purposes. Methodological approach is applied at selected sites (particularly rock formations) in the top part of the Zdarske vrchy Highland. The acquired results can serve as a basis for geoconservation of Protected Landscape Area (PLA) Zdarske vrchy, development of geotourism as well as an offer for extension of geoeducational activities.
