Original language description
Forestry and related industries represent important components of local, regional and national economies. This contribution presents the information obtained from the evaluation of the importance of a forestry enterprise to the local economy. The evaluation was carried out on the Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny (TFE MF Křtiny) located close to Brno - to the north of Brno in the Southern Moravia Region in the Czech Republic. The evaluation of the economic benefits may provide valuable information not only for enterprises but also for politics and stakeholders. The aim of the article is to describe the benefits of the selected forestry enterprise to the local economy, with a special focus on the local expenditures of local suppliers and on the local expenditures of employees who are residents of the region.
