    The leathers used for upholstery furniture production like source voc emissions. This paper investigates the problematic of VOC emissions from coatings materials (nature leathers) used for upholstery furniture production. The main goal of this contribution is comparison of VOC emissions emitted from different types of nature upholstery leathers. This research judged the influence of nature upholstery leathers with different kinds of natural leather tanning (chromed leather and tanned leather). In the first step, samples of natural leather (chrome plated and tanned leather) of 1 m2 were prepared for testing, and then placed in a small-space chamber (a volume 1 m3). VOC emissions measurement was determined in small space chamber with pre-defined conditions (temperature was 23 oC and 50 % relative humidity). This methodology is described in the standard CSN EN ISO 16 000-9. Then we started to collect VOC emission emitted by the tested sample of the different leather samples into the desorption tubes on the sorbent Tenax TA. In the second step, VOC emissions were analysed by gas chromatograph Agilent GC 6890 N with a mass spectrometer Agilent 5973 Network with cryofocusation, thermal desorption and library of spectra NIS 05. The conducted analyses provide qualitative and quantitative data on the concentrations of selected VOC in pg.nr3. The methodology of sampling leather samples was done according to standard CSN EN ISO 16000-part 1, 5. the concentrations of selected VOC in pg.nr3. Quantitative difference of all emitted organic compound showed the measured values of TVOC.
