The invasion of neophytes after the areal chemical eradication in forest and non-forest habitats
Original language description
The aim of this study was to determine the level of invasion of present neophytes after chemical eradication. The spraying was intended to limit the invasion of the knotweed genus (Reynoutria spp. syn. Fallopia spp.) and preserve the rare habitats of the river Morávka. Reynoutria spp. created impenetrable vegetation before the herbicide applying. The hypothesis has sought to answer the question of the extent to which habitats are influenced by the invasive Reynoutria spp., Himalayan balsam (Impatiens glandulifera) and other neophytes depending on the basic features of the habitat ecotype. Another task was to prove or disprove the relationship between neophytes after herbicide application. Changes in the species composition of herbaceous layer and habitats have been also investigated.
