    Results of indirect identification methods in polyploidy plants of Callistephus chinensis Nees.

  • Original language description

    The primary selection of probably polyploidy plants was performed on the base of large morphological changes of leaf blade. The reliability of this selection was 50-70 per cent depending on cultivars. Secondary selection was the Flow- cytometry, which identified the level of plant ploidy with high confidence. Some indirect methods were subsequently tested for polyploidy plant identification. These were the size of stomata ( m), the number of chloroplasts in stomatal cells, the density of stomata on leafarea and the size of pollen grains ( m).
