Preliminary selected apple varieties bred for resistance to apple scab at Research and Breeding Institute of Pomology Holovousy Ltd. were tested in the experimental plots of Department of Breeding and Propagation of Horticultural Plants in Brno in 2001-2002. Besides the level of the resistance to apple scab and powdery mildew we assessed tree vigour, cropping and several selected external and internal characters of fruits. From all 23 tested varieties, HL 974 and HL 2280 outlined to be resistant to bothapple scab and powdery mildew. The most promising showed to be HL 1908 that is resistant to scab, tolerant to mildew and performed high yields with a remarkable fruit quality parameters.

Testování nových odrůd jabloní vyšlechtěných na rezistenci k strupovitosti jabloně (Venturia inaequalis Cke. Wint.)

Czech description

Předběžně vyselektované odrůdy jabloní vyšlechtěné na rezistenci k strupovitosti jabloně ve Výzkumném a šlechtitelském ústavu ovocnářském Holovousy s.r.o. byly testovány na pokusných plochách Ústavu šlechtění a množení zahradnických rostlin v Brně v letech 2001-2002. Kromě odolnosti k strupovitosti jabloně a padlí jabloně byla hodnocena také intenzita růstu, plodnost a vybrané vnější a vnitřní parametry plodů. Z celkového počtu 23 hodnocených odrůd, HL 974 a HL 2280 se jevily jako rezistentní k strupovitosti jabloně a tolerantní k padlí jabloně. Současně dosáhly vysokých výnosů a velmi dobré kvality plodů.
