Water-exchange of woody species introduced into the Chui valley of Kyrgyzstan reflects specific character - moreover each species and every vital form is in the adaptation to the growing conditions individual. The most important meaning has the questionof schemes and protective afforestation planting for arid and semi-arid conditions of Kyrgyzstan. The role of protective afforestation is irreplaceable and to start planting of arboreal plants there is necessary to restore this areas. The labile, stableand constitutional types of woody species water-exchange are described and the evaluated plant species are classed into the types with high, middle and low degrees of water-exchange indices in this paper.

Príspevok sa zaoberá súhrnom výsledkov viacročného výskumu v oblasti sledovania miery adaptability drevín introdukovaných do prírodných podmienok Kyrgyzstanu. Vodný režim drevín introdukovaných v Čujskej doline má špecifický charakter. Každý druh reagujena miestne arídné a semiarídné podmienky individuálne. Viac ako 90% územia Kyrgyzstanu sa nachádza v horských oblastiach. Veľkým problémom je prudko sa zvyšujúca miera degradácie horských ekosystémov. Nevyhnutné je zabezpečiť ochranné výsadby vhodnými druhmi drevín. V príspevku sa hodnotia vybrané introdukované druhy drevín a určenie ich vhodnosti pre výsadbu v miestnych klimatických podmienkach.
