Chemical diversity in naturally bound compounds originated in the global garden represents a great potential for the utilization in various anthropogenic sinks. During the process of the search for novel pharmacophores, several groups of plant secondaryproducts had been investigated and the therapeutic effect of the functional structures have been described. Followed by increasing evidence of clinical trials, the metabolites of naphtoquinones have become an effective ingredient of current therapeutics.According to the functional properties of naphtoquinones including biological availability afunction of several synthetics and according to pharmacoeconomic aspect of the medical application, carnivorous plant species providing the crop of these broadlydiscussed compounds have become a valuable source of natural drugs.
