Characterization of silver nanoparticles synthesized from Artemisia absinthium
Original language description
The spread of bacterial strains resistant to antibiotics and disinfectants is a major public health problem. For this reason, new possibilities for the treatment of infections are being sought. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are the prospective antimicrobial agents with wide spectrum of biological targets. Effect of nanoparticles depends on their size, shape and modification. Green synthesis is a method for preparation of AgNPs that can improve their properties by using plant extracts as surface modifiers.
