At present, information systems and information technologies (IS/IT) are an indispensable pre-requisition of a successful management in all fields of economic activities. A proper selection of IS/ITs should be based on requirements concerning their functionality. Problems with functionality represent one of the basic causes of problems occurring within the process of implementation and application of information systems in businesses. Requirements concerning functionality should be defined in relation to basic objectives of a project and thus also to the mission and strategy of each enterprise. These requirements can be defined very exactly, e.g. on the base of the development of a procession model. In this paper the survey of requirements concerning IS/IT functionality was defined with regard to the needs of the University Agricultural Enterprise Žabčice, Mendel University of Agriculture and forestry in Brno (Žabičce UAE of MUAF in Brno).
