Experience and risk as a topic of sex education in the family

Original language description

The contribution deals with the issue of sexual education in the family, especially the topic of sexual intercourse. The aim of the contribution is to find out what messages about sexual intercourse mothers convey to children aged 12-18 years. In order to achieve the goal, qualitative research was carried out. Specifically, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 26 mothers who have children of the above-mentioned age. Some grounded theory procedures were chosen for data analysis. The results show that within the topic of sexual education, specifically sexual intercourse, mothers convey their message about sexual intercourse on three levels: explaining the form of sexual intercourse and its benefits, and the conditions of sexual intercourse. An important place is also occupied by the topic of risk and the experience of sexual intercourse.
