Analysis ejaculate quality of boars with different genotype of the RYR1 gene
Original language description
The genotypes of the RYR1 gene were associated with all observed ejaculate quality traits of boars using in breeding, in three AI stations. Boars of the Nn genotype produced the highest volume of the ejaculate. At the others traits (concentration of spermatozoa, forward mobility, percentage of abnormalities and number of produced semen doses per ejaculate) boars of the NN genotype had significantly better ejaculate quality as those of the Nn and nn genotypes. On the other hand, recessive homozygous boars (nn) produced the least volume of ejaculate, forward mobility, concentration of sperms, number of semen doses and the most percentage of spermatozoa abnormalities. The Nn boars took a middle position between the both homozygous boars and were significantly different from the NN and nn boars.
