Migration Study - the regional perspective
Original language description
The aim of the article was to analyse the trends in regional migration. Three criterias were chosen - regional disparities in GDP per capita, rate of unemployment and average monthly wage. We assumed the trend will show migration from the regions with high rate of eunemployment, with low GDP per capita and with low average monthly wage to the more prosperous regions. The empirical results rejects our hypothesis. The results were compared with the same study for Italy and authors provide some explanations for low mobility of people among Czech regions compared with Italy one.
