Changes of spike morphology (multirow spike MRS, long glumes ? LG) in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and their importance for breeding
Original language description
Breeding activities in wheat have led towards a considerable increase in genetic yield potencial associated with changes in plant proportions. Grain weight per spike has been enhanced by an increasing grain number per spike rather than by higher weight.Three groups of genotypes different in spike morphotype are compared in the work.
