A contribution to the comparison of circular saw blades with carbide tips or stellite teeth at ripping spruce.Circular saw blades with carbide-tipped or stellite teeth were compared at ripping spruce logs on multi-rip saw COSTA. The two types of circularsaw blades worked under identical conditions on the sawmill in Olomučany. Consequently, a comparison was made of torques (MK) in sharp and blunted circular saw blades, blunt increase in dependence on the volume of ripped wood, service life of teeth andservice life of circular saw blades themselves.
