The mycoflora under conditions of the climax spruce stands in Giant Mountains (Krkonoše) was observed in relation to the decomposition of wood. Monitored areas are more or less affected by air pollution from the eightieth years. There were determinate about 128 species of macrofungi that included besides the others 43 species of wood decaying fungi. There were determinate 54 mycorrhitic species as well. From range of mycorrhitic species. Concerning of the amount of the decomposed wood the wood mass on monitored plots in the climax spruce stands, the prevalent wood decaying fungi are brown rot fungi. The rate of brown rot fungi on the decomposition. Dominated species is Fomitopsis pinicola (Sw.:Fr.) P.Karst, the brown rot fungi. Concerning the group ofwhite rot fungi the most important is wound rot by Stereum sanguinolentum (Alb. & Schw.:Fr.) Fr.
