Effect of revitalization measures on the floodplain water regime
Original language description
Floodplain forest tracts in southern Moravia in the alluvium of the Dyje and Morava rivers were heavily affected by anthropic activities in the last thirty years. The regulation of the two rivers, construction of group water systems and specific climaticconditions markedly changed the water regime of soils. The process of revitalization measures was started in some parts of the floodplain forest at the beginning of the 90s. Based on the previous and recent studies, the paper documents the effect of therevitalization measures on groundwater table changes and hence on the general water regime of soils in the floodplain ecosystem.
