Original language description

Using the image analysis of ACC 32 software total root surface was calculated and active water-absorbing root surface was determined for six trees both at limed and control localities.. In the upper soil horizons there was more spruce root biomass and inthe lower ones there was more beech root biomass. Biomass of roots growing in surface layers was higher and the beech/spruce ratio was lower.
