Importance of soil parameters in farming system assessment.
Original language description
The paper presents results obtained in testing eleven parameters characterising soil properties as parts of the methodology for optimisation of arable farming systems (VEREIJKEN, 1992 and 1997). The assessment was carried out in 1996-2000 on three experimental farms differing in soil and climatic conditions. Possibilities of achieving the desired values of individual parameters are described and problems with introduction of the methodology in the Czech Republic are presented. Under the current farmingpractice in the Czech Republic (poor crop rotations), rather information of temporal (vertical) character on a level of individual fields will be used in comparison with right crop rotations where both temporal and spatial aspects are balanced.
