Characterization of Vseminka watershed using digitized orthophotomaps and GIS
Original language description
Digitized orthophotomaps of 1995 (1: 10 000 scale) and other digitized spatial data were utilized for the studies on land use and other characteristics of the Všemínka watershed in Eastern Moravia. It was found that the dominant land use of the watershedwere forests followed by meadows and pastures. The land use changes of the watershed were identified by comparing with the similar spatial data of previous period. Significant changes in landuse were detected, mainly four-fold decrease of arable land fragmentation and significant decrease in arable land (55 %) and pasture (35 %) acreage. These changes represent serious influence upon the ecological balance of the landscape
