The paper is focused on the evaluation of labour productivity in industry as a whole and in the selected branches in the Czech Republic in 1997-2001. The labour productivity index for employees is the ratio of industrial production indices and indices ofthe number of employees. Methods of regressionand correlation analysis and development trends were applied for the mathematical-statistical analysis.
