Original language description
The paper concentrates on the changes and development of the Czech foreign trade in services in the last ten years in comparison with the European Union members, the USA a Japan as two other main world economy centers and selected economies in transition. The share of services in GDP creation is the one of commonly used signs of the development degree of the national economies. The formerly centrally planned economies follow this trend and slowly near the developed countries. The growing importance of services should mirror in their foreign trade as well. The openness of economies in transition in sector of services measured by per capita and per GDP indicators is really steadily growing. The increase of the role of foreign trade in services in total foreign trade in not so stabile and differs very significantly according the country under consideration. The commodity structure of trade in services of economies in transitions cannot be commonly characterized
