Original language description

Herbage quality of pasture swards used for alternate grazing was assessed in dependence on fertilization and pastoral system of management. Mineral fertilization (3 x 30 kg N, 30 kg P and 90 kg K . ha-1) significantly higher crude fibre content (204.8 vs. 190.8 g.kg-1 DM), significantly reduced energy concentration (5.56 vs. 5.82 MJ NEL) and showed in an increased representation of grasses (61.1 vs. 50.4%), insignificantly higher content of crude protein (195.8 vs. 191.8 g.kg-1 DM). The changes in herbage quality were given mainly by the change in the botanical composition of swards.
