Design of a vacuum pump control by a frequency converter and checks of its parameters on a functional model
Original language description
The paper deals with a possible energy saving on milking machines by changing the method of vacuum regulation and by controlling the run of the vacuum pump electric motor by a frequency converter. The work was focused on defining working parameters of anewly designed device and on measuring energy consumption. The device works on the principle of a pressure-reducing valve, the vacuum pump vacuum being higher than the milking machine working vacuum. First of all it was necessary to find the minimum difference between both vacuums. Based on the measurements implemented the minimum value of the differences, i.e 4 kPa, was suggested at which energy consumption on a model device was measured. The values obtained by using the suggested regulating device andfrequency converter were compared with the values obtained by using a standard control valve and without frequency converter.
